Prior to joining IIF Edwin Gerungan held several key positions at private companies including as President Director of PT BHP Billiton and as Senior Advisor at Atlantic Richfield. He launched his career at Citibank NA in 1972 and left his last position at the bank as Vice President, Head of Treasury. His roles in state-owned enterprises include as President Commissioner of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk and as independent commissioner at Bank Danamon and Bank Central Asia. Mr Gerungan earned his bachelor degree in Philosophy from Principia College, Elsah, Illinois, USA.
Graduated with a Bachelor in Accounting at the Stage College of Accountancy Indonesia and a PhD from the University of North Caroline at Chapel Hill, USA in Economics majoring in Public finance, Pak Robert Pakpahan has over 11 years of experience working with the Ministry of Finance in Indonesia. Currently Mr. Pakpahan has several major positions in different companies including at Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance as the General Director of Budget Financing and Risk Management, at the Millenium Challenge Account (MCA) as the Board of Trustee member, and lastly at Asian Development Bank as the Board of Director (representing ASEAN countries) and Chairman of Audit Committee, Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility (CGIF).
Besides serving as a Commissioner at IIF, currently Zulkifli Zaini also serves as a Commissioner at Triputro Aro Persada and the Chairman of Indonesia Bankers Association (IBI). Prior to that, he served as a commissioner at BNI from 2015 to 2016 and PLN from 2013 to 2015. He had also held several key positions at Bank Mandiri since 2003, with the latest position as the President Director in 2010. He started his career in the financial industry at Bank Pembangunan Indonesia (Bapindo) for almost 12 years until 1999.
Mr. Zaini earned his Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Bandung Technology Institute and holds an MBA from Washington University.
Prior to moving to Tokyo, he was based in Singapore and was General Manager & Head of Structured Finance Asia Pacific (SFAP). He has over 18 years of experience in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region, advising clients on various infrastructure, PPPs and energy transaction. He earned his management and engineering degrees from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. Mr. Kannan is the representative of SMBC.
Ms. Darmawan obtained her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University, USA in 1989, and graduated with a Master in International Business from West Coast University, USA in 1991.
Hilda Savitri has 20 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, private equity and auditing firms. Prior to joining IIF, she was an Investment Director at TAEL Management (2007-2015), a regional fund manager managing a total fund of more than US$550 million from offshore institutional investors. Prior to that, she worked for UOB Asia Ltd from 2004 to 2007 with latest position as Associate Director, responsible for the structuring, execution and distribution of various merger and acquisition transactions, loan syndications, project financing, shares placement and other structured financing transactions for Indonesian clients. She had also worked for PT Danareksa (Persero) (1995 –1999 and 2001 –2002) and PT Nusantara Securities (2002 –2004) in investment banking division. She launched her career at the accounting firm, Siddharta Siddharta & Harsono (member of Coopers & Lybrand International) (1994-1995).
Mrs. Savitri earned her MBA degree from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (2001) on a full scholarship program from New Zealand Overseas Development Award, and her Bachelor degree in accounting from University of Indonesia (1994).
