Jakarta, December 2020 – PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (“IIF”), a long-term player that will continue to push new surfaces in assuring a sustainable development. As mandated in becoming a catalyst and enabler, IIF continues to endeavor even towards the end of 2020. On Friday, 11th of December 2020, IIF held a signing ceremony with PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera (“BKMS”), amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the signing ceremony was conducted with strict health protocols. The signing commemorates a general corporate loan amounting up to Rp500.000.000.000.- (five hundred billion rupiah) from IIF for the development of the Industrial Estate of Java Integrated Industrial & Port Estate (“JIIPE”) in Gresik, East Java.
JIIPE is classified as one of the Government’s Strategic National Project (“PSN”). With the establishment of several companies in the integrated industrial area, it is expected to bring a domino effect on the national and regional economic growth. IIF believe this is in line with the Company’s philosophy of sustainable development. This project marks the first industrial estate funded by IIF, hence, further enriching IIF’s portfolio.
The contribution to finance JIIPE is scheduled for 7 (seven) years. JIIPE is a mega project jointly developed and designed to become a manufacturing center in East Java with complete infrastructure and independent utilities. together with PT Berlian Manyar Sejahtera , BKMS works to create the first integrated industrial and port estate in Indonesia with international infrastructure.
Shareholders and Ultimate Beneficiary Owners of this Project are prominent market players namely PT Usaha Era Pratama Nusantara (subsidiary of PT AKR Corporindo, Tbk) and PT Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero), which increases the confidence of this project. BKMS has also entered into a land lease agreement with PT Freeport Indonesia (“PTFI”) stating that PTFI leased an area in Phase II (smelter cluster) for 98 Ha that is effective for a period of 20 (twenty) contract years from May 10th, 2019.
The industrial estate is targeted to be the most advanced, modern and sustainable industrial area in East Java. The integrated deep-sea port estate is to support the industrial activities that is strategically located in Madura Strait and part of the greater Surabaya port district.
Representing IIF was Bapak Reynaldi Hermansjah, President Director and CEO of IIF and Bapak Ramadhan Harahap, Managing Director and CIO of IIF. While the representative from BKMS was Bapak Bambang Soetiono S., President Director of BKMS, and Bapak Ifan Johar Kuswahyudi, Finance Director of BKMS.
“With a total area of 2,961 hectares in Gresik, East Java, JIIPE is targeted to be the most strategic investment destination in Indonesia. A distinctive trait from this project is the deep-sea port that is attached to this area. This industrial estate is planned to be built in 2,961 Ha area consisting of 3 (three) zone areas; port (400 ha) developed by BMS, industrial estate (1,761 Ha) developed by BKMS, and residential area (800 Ha) developed by AKR Land “as explained by IIF’s CIO, Bapak Ramadhan Harahap.
