October 2021 – Mandated with an array of sectors, PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (“IIF”) started to tap into social infrastructure. On 11th of October 2021, IIF has signed senior term loan agreement with UniMedika Hospitals Group (“UniMedika”) to fund business expansion. This deal marks a milestone for IIF as it listed the first healthcare project under its portfolio.
From the proceeds, UniMedika will construct a new wing of the hospital building in Tangerang. It will increase the capacity of hospital beds from 39 to 123, inclusive for its additional purchase of medical equipment and supporting facilities. Namely, polyclinics, pharmaceutical installations, laboratories upgrade, radiology and rehabilitation. Through this expansion, it is expected to serve more demand since the beginning of the hospital’s operation in 2018.
Another portion of the proceeds will be allocated to rehabilitate the construction of a type C hospital located in Bekasi. The capacity available in the hospital is 155 beds with additional medical equipment to further support the facility.
“We are proud of this latest deal. We continuously lift our presence and continue our operation towards a greater excellence. Healthcare is a promising industry, and to engage in this sector we will not only benefit commercially, but we will be able to provide social needs to the people” as explained by Mr. Reynaldi Hermansjah, CEO of IIF.
