Summary
IIF is providing Senior Term Loan as part of refinancing on the current Project Loan Facility. The project company is developing Indonesia’s first commercial windfarm located in Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) regency, South Sulawesi province, Indonesia. The Project has a total footprint of about 86 hectares (as per location permit) and has a total installed capacity of 75MW composed of thirty 2.5MW turbines on 80m steel towers, which was selected by the Project to best fit for the Class IIA wind (classified by the International Electrotechnical Commission – EIC) on the site. The power generated in the Project transmits the electricity through 150kv transmission line to the existing line near the PLN Sidrap substation at Pangkajene, which forms part of the main South Sulawesi Grid. The project is also applying for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and the project is contributed estimated amount of annual average GHG emission reduction at 137,572 tCO2. It is expected that the project can contribute with an increase in Installed Capacity of up to 14.8% and the Number of Customers increased to 4.42% in South Sulawesi. The Project is one of the National Vital Objects in the Field of Energy and Mineral Resources in Indonesia.
