Summary
In December 2023, IIF signed an agreement to finance general corporate purposes of a telecommunication company. The Company’s main business activities are in the field of cable telecommunication, internet service provision, and interconnection services. This investment will contribute to the sustainable development goals by providing internet access to around 20% of 3T regions in Indonesia, serve approximately 140,000 people through 550,000 home passes. IIF’s Social and Environmental Due Diligence categorizes this investment as a Category B (medium risk) project where the social and environmental risks can be managed by mitigation measures that adhere to the IIF’s Social and Environmental Principles.
