Summary
IIF provides a Corporate loan facility to a private telecommunication service provider company for the development of Base Transceiver Station (BTS) equipment or other telecommunication infrastructures across Indonesia. The project will cover BTS installation and other supporting telecommunication infrastructures across Indonesia for the purpose of 4G-LTE network expansion. Three (3) main components related to telecommunication infrastructures have been identified; BTS installation, data center for managing network resources, and warehouse for inventory purposes. This project will promote equal distribution of access to telecommunication services through expanding 4G-based telecommunication networks across Indonesia. Based on IIF’s Social and Environmental Due Diligence, this project is categorized as Category B (medium risk) project where S&E risks and impacts are largely reversible and can be managed through mitigation measures adhering to IIF Social and Environmental Principles. The participation is part of IIF’s continuous support to telecommunication infrastructure sector in Indonesia through senior term loan product.
