Expansion of Type C General Hospital in Bekasi

Summary

In September 2021, IIF signed an agreement to provide a senior term loan for rehabilitation and new wing building construction of a type C hospital located in Bekasi amounting up to IDR 55 Billion. The loan facility is used to increase the capacity of hospital beds from 36 to 155 beds as well as to purchase additional medical equipment and supporting facilities. The project has started its operation in Q2 2019 with the growth rate of the population of the surrounding area is approximately 1.50% per annum from 864.787 populations in 2018. The hospital has a total land of 4,239 m2 and consists of Building A (3 floors) and Building B (2 floors). The project renovated Building A and B and also constructed Building C up to seven (7) floors. The total building area of this hospital is 9,181 m2 and is supported with facilities such as laboratory, radiology, hemodialysis, central operating rooms, delivery rooms, emergency rooms, and polyclinic. In terms of Social and Environmental (S&E) aspects, this Project is categorized as a Category B project where the S&E impacts can be avoided and mitigated through the appropriate implementation of mitigation measures during the construction and operation stages.
