Summary
In September 2021, IIF signed an agreement to provide a senior term loan for the construction of a hospital’s new building wing in Tangerang amounting up to IDR 45.4 Billion. The loan facility is used to increase the capacity of hospital beds from 39 to 123 beds as well as to purchase additional medical equipment and supporting facilities. The hospital is currently a Women’s and Children’s Specialist Hospital and once the redevelopment is completed, the hospital transform to a General Hospital Type C. The hospital has started its operation in 2018 and is located in a dense mid-low residential area. The hospital has a total land of 4,577 m2 with a 5-stories building. The hospital has been equipped with patient wards, emergency room, operating room, delivery room, and supporting facilities, such as sewage treatment plant (STP), generator room, clean water tank, temporary hazardous waste storage and domestic waste storage, laboratory, pharmacy, nutrition room, etc. The expansion aims to add polyclinics, pharmaceutical installations, upgrade laboratories, radiology, and rehabilitation. In terms of Social and Environmental (S&E) aspects, this Project is categorized as a Category B project where the S&E impacts can be avoided and mitigated through the appropriate implementation of mitigation measures during the construction and operation stages.
