Summary
IIF participated as one of the investor in an independent energy company, USD denominated amortizing 15 years tenor (average life of 9.3 years) Green Bond issuance of which proceeds will be used mainly to refinance the existing term loan facility. The Green Bond is certified by Carbon Trust Assurance Ltd (external / pre-issuance verifier) and is in line with the Green Bond Principles 2017 and ASEAN Green Bond Standard. The project can be considered as the first corporate green bond issuance for Indonesia Project.
The Independent Energy Company is based in Indonesia, and owns and operates a geothermal power plant with gross installed generation capacity of 227 MW, consisting of Unit 1: 110 MW and Unit 2: 117 MW and the steam field above-ground system, including steam piping and equipment facilities between the production wellhead and power plants.
