Summary
IIF supports the development of Lae Ordi 2×5 MW Mini Hydro Power Plant (MHPP) project located in Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatera. The project is a run-off river hydroelectric system where the plant harvests energy from the flowing water of Lae Ordi River to generate electricity without a large dam. The MHPP’s yearly energy production result is up to 83.87 GWh/year and distributed through SUTM (Saluran Udara Tegangan Menengah) 20 kV to Substation (Gardu Induk Siempat Rube) in Salak. The project contributes to the government commitment to accelerate the renewable energy mix target up to 23% by 2025. Social and Environmental Due Diligence (SEDD) has been conducted and categorize the project as Project Category B. By financing this project, IIF consistently contribute to the acceleration of electricity infrastructure development in Indonesia especially from renewable energy sector.
