In March 2021, IIF agreed to provide a senior term loan facility dan non-cash loan facility to the Project Developer for construction of 55 km condensate pipeline and mini condensate refinery located at Muara Bakah, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan.
The Project Developer intends to do downstream business in oil and gas by building mini refinery with a processing capacity up to 600 bpd. The refinery will use the condensate from Ophir’s KGPF in Karendan Village, also within the Lahei Sub-District, that will be transported through the 55 km of pipeline with 4 inches of diameter.
Most of the refinery products which are gasoline and diesel fuels will be allocated to the local market to support economic activities in the area. For the sale of gasoline and diesel fuels which is expected to reach up to 80 kilolitres (kl) per day in total, the Project Developer will cooperate with Pertamina and fuel trader.
Based on the Social and Environmental Due Diligence (SEDD), this project categorized as Category A Project in term of social and environmental risks and impacts. This categorization considers the nature and scale of the project and the potential project risks and impacts to the environmental and social aspect.
