Summary
IIF provides a loan for a State-owned Construction Company located in Jakarta, with over 50 years of experience in infrastructure projects, including toll roads, drinking water supply systems, and airport projects. The loan facility will be utilized to provide working capital for projects within the infrastructure sector, in compliance with the criteria outlined in the Minister of Finance Regulation No. 100 of 2009 and the Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 46 of 2020 regarding Infrastructure Financing Companies, which are eligible for financing by IIF.
In 2024, the facility is restructured with a new underlying project: Drinking Water Supply System project in West Java with a total capacity of 4,750 lps. The water will be distributed to DKI Jakarta, Bekasi Regency, Bekasi City, and Karawang Regency. The project is categorized by the Government of Indonesia as one of the National Strategic Projects (Proyek Strategis Nasional – PSN). Based on the S&E Due Diligence, the social and environmental risks and impacts of the project are considered as medium which can be mitigated by adhering to IIF Social and Environmental Principles.
