Summary
| In December 2024, IIF signed an agreement to finance the development of a jetty with a pipeline and a 1 x 3,000-ton spherical storage tank, along with supporting facilities, located in Limbangan Village, Juntinyuat, Indramayu Regency, West Java. The project development will involve key activities including piling works for the trestle and jetty head, dredging and disposal of 1.6 million m3 dredged materials, storage tank installation with capacity of 3000 metric tons equipped with two propylene transfer pumps, and implementation of mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, and navigation system works. This investment will contribute to strengthening the domestic petrochemical industry by increasing the current production capacity of the Polypropylene Plant by 40,000 MTPA and enabling future capacity expansion of up to 300,000 MTPA. This enhancement is expected to strengthen the supply chain, promote operational integration, and improve project efficiency IIF’s Social and Environmental Due Diligence categorizes this investment as a Category A (high-risk) project. However, the social and environmental risks and impacts can be managed through mitigation measures referring to the IIF’s Social and Environmental Standards. |
