Summary
In May 2024, IIF signed a Facility Agreement to finance and support the development of toll road which part of Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) 2. The toll road is part of National Strategic Project (Proyek Strategis Nasional) according to Presidential Regulation Number 109 of 2020. This toll road consists of two sections, with Section 1 spanning a total of 3.17 km and Section 2 covering 23.01 km. It passess through four cities/regencies, including Depok City, Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency, and Bogor Regency.
The toll development aimed to support the operational of JORR 2 and improve the accesibility, efficient travel cost, and reduce traffic congestion between high mobility cities, especially in Jabodetabek areas. The Social and Environmental Due Diligence (“SEDD”) categorizes this investment as Category A Project (High Risk). The S&E impacts can be effectively managed through the proper implementation of mitigation measures in accordance with IIF’s Social and Environmental Principles.
