Summary
In May 2021, IIF agreed to provide a senior term loan facility for Data Center Project . The facility will be supporting the construction of the Data Center and to procure as well as set up the Data Center equipment for 1,000 racks capacity with 3.5 MW IT load capacity.
Located in the area of 1.7 Hectares or 17,000 sqm in the Jababeka Industrial Park, Cikarang, West Java the Tier-3 data center will consist of three (3) buildings that will be equipped with utility buildings, data center IT hall building, and office building. The total building gross floor area is up to 20,057 sqm. For this current stage (Phase I), the data center facility that will be built is only for one (1) floor, however, the building construction of the data center building (data center IT hall building) will be built in this stage. The main activity of the data center business is to rent a rack/rack rental service for storing servers connected to networks that function to store company data, as well as individuals.
Based on the Social and Environmental Due Diligence (SEDD), this project is categorized as Category B (Medium risk) Project in terms of social and environmental risks and impacts. Currently, the project is still a greenfield project and the category B assignment is due to the nature of Data Center’s activities which will be resulting in a short-term and reversible environmental and social impact in accordance with IIF Social&Environmental Principles (SEP).
