Summary
July 2012, IIF acted as a Co-Lead Arranger in the domestic syndicated financing for a 116km greenfield toll road project in West Java. The project was sponsored by foreign and domestic investors and has been fully operational since May 2015. The project complies with IIF’s S&E requirements and Corrective Action Plan program, including livelihood restoration of project’s adversely affected people.
Further, in August 2018, IIF participated in the syndication facility for the company, which intended to refinance the existing facility and the extension of Kertajati toll road access.
The first project is expected to reduce average travel time as it has connected two existing toll roads, which are Jakarta-Cikampek and Palimanan-Kanci toll road. Additionally, the extension of Kertajati toll road access will create an easy access for users going from Cikampek-Palimanan (Cipali) to the West Java International Airport (Kertajati). The Kertajati toll road will connect people to access the airport, and at the same time enables users coming from the airport and surrounded areas, to enter the Cipali toll road.
