Summary
IIF supports the development of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant, including a gas pipeline and other supporting facilities, with an installed capacity of 12 MMSCFD located in Tuban, East Java. The plant will utilize lean gas sourced from a dedicated well in the Tuban Block, with a 15-year dedicated allocation. The project contributes to the Indonesian government’s commitments to provide transitional fuel, including gas, as outlined in the National Energy General Plan (Rencana Umum Energi Nasional/RUEN), with a gas production target of at least 22% in 2025 and at least 24% in 2050. Social and Environmental Due Diligence (SEDD) has been conducted, categorizing the project as Project Category B. By financing this project, IIF is consistently contributing to the development of Indonesia’s energy mix, particularly in the gas sector.
