Summary
In May 2024, IIF signed an agreement to provide project financing for the development of hotels, convention center, and basic infrastructure as part of the Health & Wellness Tourism Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located in Bali. The hotels will be operated with a 5 star standard with the number of rooms in hotel tower and hotel garden are 274 and 186 respectively. The convention center is built in a 24,000 sqm area with the capacity of 5,000 people. To support the operational of this special economic zones, basic infrastructure has been developed which consists of main road, water channel, street lighting, electrical, wastewater treatment plant, water supply, waste disposal (including hazardous waste), ground water tank, parking area, utility box, and the surveillance equipment. This Project is categorized as a Category B project, where the S&E impacts can be avoided and mitigated through the appropriate implementation of mitigation measures during the construction and operation stages.
